Experience Taormina

The charm of art

and authentic Sicilian spirit

Overlooking breathtaking views and wrapped in a timeless atmosphere, Taormina offers emotions at every step. By day, it enchants with the light of the sea and its historic monuments; by night, it comes alive with lit-up alleys, elegant boutiques, cozy restaurants, and street performers in Piazza IX Aprile who turn each moment into a memory to take home. A city to explore slowly, with beauty and wonder.

Ancient Theatre of Taormina

One of the city’s iconic landmarks, the Ancient Theatre is an impressive testament to Greco-Roman rule. What makes it truly unique is the spectacular view that stretches across the coast, the city of Naxos, and Mount Etna. Goethe described it as “a setting that no other theatre in the world can boast.”

Isolabella and Seafront

Known as “the pearl of the Mediterranean,” Isolabella is connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand that appears and disappears with the tides. From here, excursions depart to the enchanting Blue Grotto, the Shell Grotto, and the Bay of Naxos. The seafront offers unforgettable views, with sea stacks and crystal-clear waters.

Castelmola

Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, Castelmola is one of Italy’s most beautiful villages. The heart of the town is Piazza Sant’Antonio, known for its black and white paving. Must-sees include the Church of San Giorgio, the Norman Castle, and the famous Bar Turrisi, where you can enjoy the typical almond wine in a truly unique atmosphere.

Savoca

A small medieval gem known for being a filming location of The Godfather. Stroll through its charming alleys, visit Bar Vitelli, the Church of San Nicolò, and the Capuchin Convent, home to 17th-century mummies. Surrounded by lush nature, Savoca offers trails through citrus groves and vineyards, along with breathtaking views.

Graniti

Just a few kilometers from Taormina, Graniti is a true open-air museum, featuring over 35 murals created by artists from around the world. In addition to urban art, the town is home to two former wine presses turned into permanent nativity scenes, and during the Christmas season, it hosts a charming live nativity.

The Alcantara Gorges

A natural canyon of rare beauty, carved out over millennia. The Alcantara Gorges are located in the valley of the same name and offer scenic trails and pathways surrounded by Mediterranean flora and local wildlife. Perfect for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and those who enjoy outdoor adventures.

Sant’Alessio Siculo Castle

Dating back to the Byzantine era, the castle overlooks the coast and offers spectacular views. Although it’s not open for interior visits, it’s well worth a trip to explore the surrounding area, including the beaches of Santa Teresa di Riva, its seafront promenade, and the evocative Saracen Path.

Fiumara d’Arte

An open-air contemporary museum that winds through the landscapes of the province of Messina. Comprising 12 monumental works, it’s an itinerary that blends art and nature. Among the most iconic pieces are “La Materia poteva non esserci”, “La Finestra sul Mare”, and the “Pyramid of the 38th Parallel.”

Etna Nord
